Andrew Bean, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Bean, M.D., is a native Texan who grew up in the Texas Panhandle. He attended The University of Texas at Austin where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in nutrition.

He attended McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where was elected by his peers and mentors into the Gold Humanism Honors Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University, and left having performed the most resident cataract surgeries in program history. He pursued further training in an AUPO certified fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Bean has a passion for teaching and was voted Fellow Teacher of the Year by the resident doctors during his fellowship. He brings this same passion to educating his patients on their own disease and empowering them to choose the best treatment options.

In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife, two kids, and their dog. He is also an avid sports fan (go Longhorns!) and enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
