Andrew Mastro, M.D
Dr. Mastro was born in Albany, New York but became a Texan when he moved to Houston for high school. He then attended Baylor University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. During his time at Baylor, Dr. Mastro was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and was named an Outstanding Senior by the department of Biology. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. After completing an internship in internal medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, he then went on to complete his residency in Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern. Dr. Mastro enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology and has extensive experience treating a wide range of eye conditions including cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, and retinal diseases.
Dr. Mastro’s wife, Nichole, is an OB-GYN physician and native of San Antonio. In his free time, Dr. Mastro enjoys traveling, sailing, carpentry, cooking and trying unusual restaurants.
