Donald Semler, O.D.

Dr. Semler was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, His family relocated to Houston, Texas in 1955. He graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Physiological Optics and attended the University of Houston College of Optometry.
He earned his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) in 1974. He had a military career spanning 21 years with many diverse assignments. He earned many awards and commendations during this time. Dr. Semler brings over 37 years of clinical optometric expertise to the San Antonio Eye Center, P.A.

He joined the practice in October 2011. His areas of interest include contact lenses and pediatric optometry. Dr. Semler and his wife, Betty, have four children and three grandchildren. He enjoys swimming, cycling, tennis, golf, hiking, hunting and fishing.
